Tony came to China in 2007 working for Nederlander World Wide Entertainment as their Vice President of Theatre Operations on their nine city tour of 42nd Street. When the tour finished
Tony became the Theatre Director of the Reignwood Theatre owned and operated by Dr. ChenChai the owner of Red Bull China. This stunning 132 seat theatre opened with a performance by Placido Domingo and the Washington National Opera. Tony then self produced the first Chinese version of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
For two years he was the Chief Consultant for The Greenland Group the second largest real estate developer in China on their cultural project in Dream Valley. The project included three theatres, a museum and a convention center. Simultaneously,
Tony was the Chief Consultant of the Oriental Songlei Theatre Company and worked on Love You Teresa for which he provided the Broadway Director and Choreographer Joey McKneely (West Side Story) and Tony Award winning Musical Director Daryl Waters (Memphis).
His most recent work in China was Co-author and Director of Joker’s Game an original Chinese musical which won two awards at the Dongguan International Music Festival (Best Production, and Best Loved By The Audience).
Currently he is preparing two new original China musicals for production in late 2012 and early 2013.
